In 2025, the Engagement & Student Experience team recruited a student campaign team from across multiple disciplines to develop an all-new campaign that encourages eco-friendly alternatives to driving and parking on campus.

The first student team, including Bec King, Aqilah Khusni, Faiza Ahmed and Katrina Edillor, launched “Try It Tuesday”, which encouraged students to use public transport or the Curtin Access Bus Service (now curtinlink) and be rewarded with Guild vouchers and other giveaways.

This semester’s campaign kicked off with an exciting Guild O-Day activation. Led by Zev Goldblatt, Sanam Karimi, Aayushma Shrestha and Bethany Tabi, the team connected with a large number of students and staff, sharing information about the new curtinlink service and handing out more than $2000 worth of SmartRider vouchers. The activation was a great success, with strong community engagement that saw more than 500 downloads of the curtinlink app and a growing shift towards more sustainable travel choices.

This fantastic outcome shows the collaboration that drives positive change across our Curtin community. Thank you to our student campaign teams for all their hard work, and to staff from Engagement & Student Experience, Corporate Communications and Properties, Facilities and Development for all their support.
