Congratulations to all involved in partnering with TEDxKings Park for the recent Moon event!

Guests picnicked under a full moon at City Beach last Friday evening, while hearing from aerospace engineers, astro-geologists, an eclipse hunter and a lunar rover engineer – who each gave a world-premiere TEDx talk highlighting how WA is part of the 21st century space race.

Packed full of insightful talks and an impression VR Moon set up from Wesley Lamont, speaker highlights were our own Curtin champions, Associate Deputy Vice-Chancellor Research Professor Gretchen Benedix and Curtin Institute of Radio Astronomy’s Dr Natasha Hurley-Walker.

Curtin staff (L-R) Dagmawi Tadesse, Anantha Venugopal, Luke Edwards, Uno Fang and Trish Radotic.
