Theatre Arts recognised at 50th Annual Robert Finley Awards
Curtin’s Theatre Arts course was recently recognised at the 50th Annual Robert Finley Awards, which celebrates outstanding achievement in WA community theatre.
Hayman Theatre received a triple win, with their production, ‘At Sea, Staring Up’, taking home the Terry Hackett Award for Best Ensemble in a Play, the Hywell Williams Award for Technical Achievement in a Play and a place in the Top 10 Plays for 2025.
Stephen Carr, Theatre Arts Production Manager, was also inducted into the Hall of Fame by the Independent Theatre Association, while Curtin alumnus Grant Malcolm was honoured with the Yvonne Hough Neilsen Award for his ongoing contribution to community theatre, and the award for Best Actor in a Play for his role in Hansard with the Garrick Theatre Club.
Congratulations to the Theatre Arts team, the Hayman Theatre team and everyone who has contributed to the course’s fantastic success.
