Tour de Cure grant success

Congratulations to the following Curtin researchers who have been awarded funding through Tour de Cure’s 2024 grant round:
- Dr Jennifer Currenti from the Curtin Medical Research Institute was awarded an Early Career Research Grant of $100,000 for the project ‘Developing alternative and effective treatment options for liver cancer patient’.
- Adjunct Associate Professor Rishi Kotecha from Curtin Medical School was awarded a Mid-career Research Grant of $100,000 for the project ‘Evaluation of Aurora Kinase inhibitors to improve the outcomes for infants with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia’.
- Dr Sebastien Malinge from Curtin Medical School was awarded a Pioneering Research Grant of $50,000 for the project ‘Toward D the immune system to improve outcomes in childhood myeloid leukaemia’.
Tour de Cure funding goes towards research into the prevention, diagnosis, treatment or cure of cancer, as well as projects to promote and increase cancer awareness and understanding in Australia.
