At the recently held Young Professionals in Agriculture Forum, Subash Gautam from the Centre for Crop Disease Management (CCDM) and postgraduate researcher Thisuri Hasara were two of five postgraduate students who showcased their research to industry professionals.

Supported by the Ag Institute Australia (WA Division) and the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development, the forum aims to celebrate the achievement of the next generation of agricultural scientists, develop their promising careers and provide an opportunity to present their research to industry.

Subash’s research examined the expression and purification of a specific fungal enzyme to enable its reproduction for potential use in developing new fungicides, while Thisuri’s research focused on the nutrition content and quality of poultry litter to identify nutritional values and how they fluctuated according to the bird’s age.

Congratulations to both Subash and Thisuri. To read more, click here.
