The Faculty of Business and Law (FBL) recently hosted a lively and engaging event with 164 high school students attending in-person and 16 online participants from across the world for the annual Year 12 ATAR Economics Conference.

Students gained valuable insights from sessions focusing on exam strategies, understanding economics issues and mastering challenging multiple-choice questions. Speakers included esteemed economists such as Paul Bloxham, HSBC Bank Australia; Steven Kemp, author of the ATAR Economics textbook and former Curtin staff; Jacob Harris, Reserve Bank of Australia; and Julian Jessop, UK Economic Consultant.

Thank you to the School of Accounting, Economics and Finance’s Professor Felix Chan, Head of School, and Dr Andrew Brennan, Senior Lecturer, as well as the FBL Outreach team, led by Michelle Watson for their efforts in creating a memorable experience for attendees.
