iSoTL Enhance

Enhance is for staff new to iSoTL who are looking to develop an iSoTL identity and scholarly teaching practice. Here you will learn about scholarly approaches to teaching and learning, and use that knowledge to critically reflect on your developing practice. It is about developing a literature informed teaching identity and being able to articulate the rationale behind your pedagogical and curriculum design choices (Webb 2019). You will make small changes to your scholarly teaching practice and measure the impact on learners.

Stage 1: The Scholarly Teaching and Learning module is where you will acquire knowledge about scholarly teaching and learning, and develop your ability to critically reflect on your practice and form a teaching identity. |
Stage 2: The Principles of iSoTL module is where you will acquire knowledge of educational research principles required to engage with iSoTL research. |
Stage 3: This stage is about recognising the learning and experience you have gained by applying for membership to a Fellowship like HEA, and gaining feedback on your educational practice by engaging with a formative Peer review. |
