Communicating Impact

Writing and articulating stories of impact is an emerging requirement for grant applications, industry partnerships and benchmark reporting. There are several common ways in which you may be required to write about research impact including:

  • potential impact statements – found in grant applications where you are required to forecast the impact you hope to achieve; and
  • impact case studies – retrospective stories of impact which are required as project and funding completion milestones, and national assessments such as the ARC EI Assessment.

This section addresses questions around writing about impact, and provides tools and connections to Curtin resources and staff who can help you achieve your goals.
