Teaching and Learning Grants
Learning and teaching grant schemes provide funding to support staff in development activities and capacity-building approaches that foster excellence and innovation and scholarship of learning and teaching (iSoLT).
2022 iSoTL Small Grants Program
- Seed ($5,000 to $10,000 per year for up to 3 years);
- Enhancement ($3,000 to $5,000 one off grant).
This program is a two-tiered system intended to provide opportunities for iSoTL projects that explore, implement and scale up high-impact teaching practices. The program has been designed to provide teaching staff with the opportunity to examine practices at different stages of their development and implementation and creates a pathway for projects from their initial inception to their full potential.
It is an expectation that the projects will contribute to scholarship in teaching and learning in a specific discipline or to the broader domain of higher education. Hence a clear dissemination strategy is required with identified peer-reviewed outputs.
Seed grants are intended to encourage experimentation at the local level, either within a unit or course. These projects should have the potential for scalability within their school/faculty/campus or transferability into other areas within the university.
Enhancement grants are designed to support scholarship in teaching practices that are focused on the development of new pedagogical or curricular approaches and practices.
