LGBTIQ+ Awareness Training
LGBTIQ+ Awareness Training is designed to raise awareness and understanding of contemporary challenges and barriers faced by LGBTIQ+ people. Once you’ve completed the training, you can become a Curtin Ally.
The Ally program helps create a safe, inclusive university environment that celebrates the unique talents and perspectives of LGBTIQ+ people. Allies are staff and students who have undergone training and can help connect you to services and resources in and around Curtin.

Gender Identity at Curtin
When Curtin University asks an employee or a prospective employee for their gender, it is the gender an individual currently identifies as.
We acknowledge that gender and sex may be separate and distinct and that some university forms/systems may not include an identity option for every individual.
If you have feedback or questions regarding equity and inclusion for people of diverse sex, sexualities and gender, please get in touch with the Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging team at staffdiversity@curtin.edu.au .
For more information on why we ask for this information and how is it referenced, please refer to the FAQs below.
